Jay Oatway writes at the collision point of technology and humanity, with stories that reflect the social tensions related to technology's unexpected consequences. He has edited and published in numerous technology and business magazines, and has authored a non-fiction book about digital life.
Contributing Editor
Jay Oatway is an active member of the Hong Kong Writer’s Circle. He has served as contributing editor for the 2025 short-story anthology, Score, featuring more than 30 Hong Kong-based writers.
His short-story Crash Test is also featured in the anthology.
Quarterly Journal
Jay Oatway has joined the Hong Kong Writer’s Circle editorial team for the quarterly publication, The Apostrophe.
Each quarter the editorial team selects a new theme, and writers have a month to submit their work (short fiction, poetry, non-fiction).
From dozens of submission, the best five, reflecting the the five points of the bauhinia flower – Hong Kong’s emblem – are published.
